About Dr. Daniel Cousin:
For over a decade, Dr. Daniel Cousin
has advised hundreds of candidates formally and informally
on how to maximize their potential in applying successfully
to top colleges and graduate schools in the United States.
Dr. Cousin is a Board-Certified Nuclear and Diagnostic Radiologist
fellowship-trained in PET-CT imaging and Nuclear Radiology.
Dr. Cousin's training includes several
Ivy-League institutions, for example, Harvard College (undergraduate),
Yale (residency), Columbia (fellowship). Dr. Cousin was accepted
Early Action to Harvard College receiving three merit-based
college scholarships, majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience,
a joint-honors major, and graduating Magna Cum Laude. After
graduating from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Cousin
completed an internship at Mt. Sinai’s Cabrini Hospital,
and then pursued radiology residency training at the Yale
– Norwalk program. Dr. Cousin pursued additional residency
training at University of Florida Shand’s Hospital.
Dr. Cousin has served on numerous admissions
committees. Selected to be the to Program Director’s
of Columbia’s affiliate Radiology Residency, Dr. Cousin
directed all aspects of the interview season for the residency
in radiology, one of the most competitive medical specialties.
Dr. Cousin has first-hand knowledge of the pearls and pitfalls
in the application process and how to maximize a candicate’s
chances at admission.
Together with his younger brother,
Dr. Cousin was one half of the Cousin Brother’s juggling
duo, who ranked second in the world at the 1995 International
Juggling Competition in Los Vegas. Dr. Cousin also plays over
100 instruments to varying degrees of proficiency, and has
a savant-like ability to play back any song in any key on
most instruments after hearing it just once. Dr. Cousin is
also an entrepreneur who has founded several businesses.
